Bountiful

I enjoyed the works of Horton Foote. Horton adapted Harper Lee’s book and wrote the screenplay for “To Kill a Mockingbird” and adapted his own play “A Trip to Bountiful” for the screen. Robert Duval often thanked Horton for recommending him for his first big screen role as Boo Radley in Mockingbird. I can still hear the theme from “A Trip to Bountiful” in my head once in a while. Geraldine Page won an Academy Award for her performance in the film. Horton Foote died yesterday. He was 92.
