clank knock thump

Getting something very real, like a building under construction before your eyes every day, gives you a sense of time, better than a clock and perspective about life. The new Performing Arts Center, two blocks up the hill and right out my window continues to take shape with each day…they work on Sundays, too, usually for four hours or so. I walk by the site every day.

The news has narratives about the economy, most of gloom, high percentages here, low volumes there, spikes, dips, peaks valleys, losses and bottom searches…are we at the bottom yet? That’s all sound and words. The metal, wood, and concrete up the hill is very much there…
