It’s not as if we eat this delectable potato pasta every day or every week, or for that matter every month. We’ve been very disciplined over the last three months. Last night, we went to the Brio Tuscan Grille for their gnocchi with Italian sausage, peppers, onions, garlic and basil in a delicious cream sauce…The waiter informed us last night…no more gnocchi on the menu. We must have looked like distraught kids at a candy store without a nickel. The waiter was very sorry and remarked that the dish used to be his favorite. The chef took it off the menu because it wasn’t selling. We’ve decided to make gnocchi from scratch and see how it goes…it can be an adventure and a disaster…maybe this recipe will work. No gnocchi! Ya kiddin me already!
