a thank you note in my egg carton

I buy eggs at my Market that are produced by a local farm, north of here about 40 minutes, in Lathrop Missouri: Campo Lindo Farms. This afternoon, I noticed a white slip of paper, 1 x 11, in the egg carton. It’s a nice thank you note from “Carol, Jay, Brandon & Isabel". It seems they raise sheep as well. Here’s the note:

“Hi from Campo Lindo Farms. The recent warm days have been awesome…several of our ewes made good use of them and had lambs. It’s always easier when they lamb during the warm weather. When it’s really frigid, Jay’s bathroom, the warmest room in the house, often becomes the ER where we bring cold newborn lambs in to get their body temperature up. It’s amazing to see them come to life after an hour or two of warmth. Then it’s back to momma, waiting in the barn, with perhaps a heat lamp to help. Thanks for buying eggs from a thankful local farm. Carol, Jay, Brandon & Isabel clf@grm.net "

By the way, these hens get to hang out in a pasture
