in hebrew

Amos Oz writes in Hebrew which is a very poetic language with amazing words with multiple meanings. I enjoy how his translator gives multiple choices at times in the form of notes. His narratives just seem to flow like silk with sentences short and blunt but then with descriptions so poetic and detailed where it seems possible to count the wrinkles on a face or paint a valley down to stone level of detail. Perhaps not that detailed but he leads your eye to fill in the blanks. He’s quite an interesting person because he participates in political discussions a great deal; something we don’t see writers do in America.
